Get Yourself Listed

There's more than one kind of webpage, and there's more than one kind of Cucu. Use the table below to help decide which ones are right for you, and to get your Cucu's set up.

CucuMe works using Cuckoo's Eggs, or "Cucu's". A Cucu is a link to your page which we will place onto somebody else's page.

To begin, you need to decide which kind of Cucu you need. There are several different kinds of Cucu, depending on what kind of page you have. Use the table below to decide how to proceed:

About your page: You don't have a CucuMe account, or you do but don't want to use it.

About CucuMe Accounts

You don't need an account to use CucuMe, but there are advantages to having one.

You can monitor how well your Cucu's are doing.

You can create "Nests": convenient groups of links which help you manage your Cucu's

You can record your links "off-the-page": your competitors won't be able to see all your Cucu locations.

When you create your account, you'll be given a special ID code, which you will have to embed in every webpage or website which you want to manage.

CucuMe Reference Tag

A reference tag is a meta tag which you put on your webpage, just like the conventional description and keyword tags. Your visitors won't see them when they visit your page, but our computers can read them.

Won't alter your existing pages.

Integrates into your existing web programming

Your competitors can read your Cucu's

A reference button is a special graphic which you put on your page. It does two things:

It tells our servers which pages you want to place your Cucu's on

It advertises the CucuMe system to your visitors.

A control file is a special file, a bit like a robots.txt file, a sitemap.org file, or an rss file, which you add to your website. It lists which of your webpages you want to Cucu, and it defines where each Cucu should be placed.

Provides some privacy from competitors
