Try it now!To get a feel for how the CucuMe system works, try it now. Key a web address into the box , and click "Show Me!". To make it easy, we've pre-loaded an address which we know has been "Cucu"ed. |
We've all been there: key a simple question into a search engine, and
get thirty thousand pages of answers back. Buried somewhere in there - maybe -
is what you need to know. But where?
While you're
trying to find the page you need, the page's owner is trying just as hard to
find you. Yet still, you don't connect.
And that means you miss out!
Now there's CucuMe, you can.
It's all done with Cuckoo's eggs! Cuckoo's eggs, or
"Cucu"s, are links to a webpage which are placed by their owners on somebody
else's webpage. They're like bookmarks, only they're attached to a website,
not to your browser. But that means that, for example, when you reach a page
offering a TV for sale, somebody might have put an egg on the page advertising
the same TV cheaper, and you can be at their page in just one
more click.
Why "Cuckoo's Eggs"?Cuckoos don't build their own nests - instead they lay their eggs in other birds' nests, and the chicks are brought up by complete strangers. Just like CucuMe's eggs! |
So, instead of using the search engines to find the one page you want in one go, you can use CucuMe eggs to"home-in" on what you want.
If you'd like to understand more about how the system works, take a look at our How It Works page and our FAQ page.
To get going, you'll need to download the CucuMe Client, which adds-in to your browser. And then - it's all done for you
